Offset Block Component

Made from the same high quality insulating pumice stone as Isokern DM Chimney components, the Isokern offset block component offers the ability to move vertical chimney from side to side to pass objects above the firebox. It is always preferred to build a vertical chimney for maximum draft performance; however, this may not be feasible with current architectural designs.

The offset blocks may be moved in various directions, but always allowing the angled hole to be smooth and clear. Offsetting off the top of the fireplace is the preferred method so as to allow the speed of smoke to eventually reach vertical travel for best draft.

Once the offset cantilevers off the side of the firebox it must be supported by a grouted column block or anchored steel columns. Please review manuals or discuss with your sales representative for project specific guidelines.

The offset block measures 21.5 inches x 21.5 inches x 6 inches in height. They are monolithic in construction with angled centers. The maximum offset allows up to a 3.25 inch move.
